farmers market Saturdays from 8-12 and Wednesdays 4-7pm on the Public Square. Interested vendors download the registration form or call the office at (317) 398-9552. On October 6th, Vicky and Jes Richmond will liven up the market. Food and drinks will also be available - more details to follow!

FEATURE PROJECT
Wayfinding Signs They're here! Please notice our new Wayfinding signs near the I-74 interchanges and throughout the downtown. This project was funded by Mainstreet Shelbyville, Shelby County Tourism, and a Blue River Community Foundation Grant. Thanks to the City Street Department for installing.

Facade Grant Program:
Click here for more information. The Strand Theatre was the most recent recipient of the grant. See renderings project to the right. The next round of grants will be in Fall 2010. Pre-application assistance is required. Please review the Secretary of Interior's Guidelines for Historic Building Rehabilitation when developing the project. Click on Forms to Download to the left for the guidelines and application.

NEWS UPDATE

Architectural Renderings Project:

The City of Shelbyville, in parternship with Mainstreet, was awarded a grant that will fund detailed renderings for the historic downtown buildings. Owners will receive detailed rehabilitation plans and drawings for their buildings. Should the owners choose to undertake any of the propsed rehabilitation projects, Mainstreet may be able to provide a facade grant or assistance with the Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credit application. Public meetings to learn how to particpate in the program will be June 30th at City Hall at 8:30 am and 5:30 pm. Please call 398-9552 with any questions.
